Jemima is a highly experienced practitioner in both Private and Public Family Law cases.

Her experience provides valuable reassurance to clients, which is based on realistic advice founded on many years of being able to anticipate judicial determinations.

Jemima also practises at the highest level in crime, frequently as Leading Junior. She is known as having outstanding advocacy skills and is a gifted cross-examiner. She has a particular interest in areas of expert evidence such as DNA, cell-site, firearms, computer systems, handwriting, psychiatric evaluations, drug trace evidence etc. and enjoys keeping up to date with forensic techniques and research

 

She has led in a significant number of high profile trials. The range of her defence work includes murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, wounding with intent, serious frauds, including multi million pound internet frauds.  She is also regularly instructed to defend in serious sexual offences.

 

She has also led in very high profile cases involving allegations of offences related to facilitating the entry of illegal immigrants into the UK. She has frequently acted in major drug cases with multi-million pound valuations and has appeared in cases of armed robbery, firearms supply and blackmail.

 

Jemima was specifically instructed as a Liaison Counsel to the Family by the Crown in the ‘Christopher Alder case (Charge of Manslaughter-Death in Custody). Involving the prosecution of six police officers,

 

Jemima is also experienced  in Fraud and Proceeds of Crime Act cases (confiscations) due to her extensive experience at F.I.M.B.R.A and knowledge of compliance and investigation in the financial world.
