Kevin Batch

Called to the Bar 2018

Prior to joining Charterhouse Kevin practised as a criminal defence solicitor for over 25 years. During that time he acquired a vast amount of experience representing clients in police station, the magistrates court and the Crown Court for a range of matters from simple shoplifting to murder.

In addition to criminal defence work he also has wide experience of regulatory work representing football clubs, players and officials at FA Disciplinary hearings, and prosecuting on behalf of regulatory health-care bodies.

CRIME/REGULATORY

Kevin has dealt with several high-profile cases in courts the length and breadth  of the country and has appeared in the Magistrates Court, Crown Court and Court of Appeal.


In the Crown Court he has had success representing clients in serious sexual offences, offences of serious violence and in 2017 successfully defended a client accused of involvement in a £7.5 m drug conspiracy.

Approachable, amenable and a believer in fairness his preparation and advocacy will leave no stone unturned in representing clients before the courts.

 

Outside of work, Kevin coaches football, having played semi-professionally himself!
