From 2005 until joining chambers, Sallyann worked both as a freelance Court Advocate, an in-house Advocate and a Head of Department in various solicitor’s firms in the North West building an extensive practice in family law, civil litigation with a specialist niche practice in housing law and commercial litigation.

Family
Undertakes all aspects of private children law matters from FHDRA stage through to Finding of Fact and Final Hearings. Sallyann frequently provides advice and representation in cases where domestic abuse and parental alienation are alleged. In cases where findings have been pursued, Sallyann has successfully obtained findings in relation to physical, psychological and sexual abuse, along with findings of coercive and controlling behaviour and parental alienation.
 
Represents parents, local authorities and children in public law children matters. Sallyann’s practice includes contested finding of fact and final hearings, interim removals, cases involving allegations of non-accidental injury, sexual abuse, neglect, issues in respect of designation and cases of adoption. 
Well known for her approachable and friendly nature, her tenacity in court and for the empathy she affords her clients Sallyann receives regular repeat instructions from numerous firms of solicitors and lay clients.

Instructed on a range of civil matters including housing disputes, contractual disputes and personal injury cases. 
Accepts instructions in all housing matters acting for both landlords and tenants dealing with all types of interlocutory hearings through to multi day trials. Sallyann has extensive experience dealing with all aspects of possession claims, antisocial behaviour injunctions, gas injunctions, housing disrepair, succession claims, tenancy deposit claims, unlawful eviction and committal proceedings.
Accepts instructions in respect of land and commercial lease disputes. 

Experienced in all areas of personal injury including road traffic, employer’s liability and occupiers’ liability. Instructed by both Claimants and
Defendants from interlocutory hearings through to trial and accepts instructions to draft pleadings and to advise on liability and quantum.


Outside of work, Sallyann has a passion for horses and rugby league.
